The following individuals make up our legal team.
Anthony Drummond, Associate Attorney/Mediator
Anthony “Tony” Drummond focuses his legal practice primarily on family law, with particular emphasis on child abuse and neglect law, civil litigation, and estate planning and administration. Tony is a 1999 graduate of Texas A&M University earning his bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He received his law degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2004 and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2005. In addition to his professional skills as an attorney, Tony also is an experienced mediator and educator. His teaching experience includes:
- Adjunct Professor, Blinn College Legal Assistant program, teaching Family Law
- Mediation Training speaker for the Dispute Resolution Center of the Brazos Valley
- Mentor for Child Abuse and Neglect Law Internship offered through the Department of Sociology at Texas A&M University
- Ethics Lecturer at the Texas A&M Health Science Center
- Guest Lecturer for the Undergraduate Professional Seminar for the Department of Sociology at Texas A&M University.
Tony’s publications include commentaries in the Annals of Behavioral Science and Medical Education published by the Department of Humanities in Medicine at the Texas A&M Health Science Center.
Brittany Whitworth, Client Liaison and Legal Assistant
Acting in a dual role as legal assistant and client liaison, Brittany works closely with Channa Borman and Anthony Drummond to maintain our high standard of effective communication with clients. In the role of legal assistant, Brittany drafts documents, organizes files, coordinates mediation, and communicates with service providers. As our client liaison, she is glad to answer your non-legal questions and, if necessary, will relay answers to your legal questions from Channa or Anthony. Brittany’s assistance as client liaison in non-legal questions is free of charge and is yet another example of the depth and breadth of the services we offer. Brittany attended the Legal Assistant program at Blinn College and, after completing her internship with our office, was offered a full-time position. Brittany works diligently to address client inquiries promptly and accurately.
Lori Chiappetta, Family Law Legal Assistant
Involved in all aspects of our family law casework, Lori drafts pleadings and correspondence, manages discovery responses and requests, meets with clients, sets court hearings, communicates with service providers, and schedules court hearings. Lori is a graduate of the Legal Assistant program at Blinn College and is an invaluable part of our team. Lori is knowledgeable about not only the law but also the dynamics of litigation, enabling her to work hand in hand with our attorneys throughout the preparation and presentation of your case.
Ravin Hill, Receptionist and Legal Assistant
When you call our law firm, Ravin will likely be the first voice you hear. She manages all communication within our office, directing your call to the appropriate person, scheduling appointments with our team, and transmitting important documents and messages to clients. Ravin is quite skilled in online background researching about not only our clients but our clients’ opponents. She is diligent in managing our office calendars and maintaining records of information sent in by clients. Ravin also attended the Legal Assistant program at Blinn College and is of invaluable assistance in Tony’s child abuse and neglect case management.
Catherine Kershaw, Office Manager
As Office Manager, Catherine handles all matters related to clients’ billing accounts and internal office concerns. Should you have questions about account balances, monthly statements, trust deposits, or pending refunds, she is the team member who can provide you with answers. Catherine began her tenure with our office as our receptionist but was promoted to legal assistant quickly due to her attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot. She accepted the position of office manager in January 2014 and has become integral in maintaining the high level of service for which our office has become known.
