After graduating from the University of Houston Law Center, Megan has gained extensive experience while serving the families and children of Harris and surrounding counties. For the past 10 years she has provided successful outcomes in high-conflict divorce and custody matters for clients through all phases of litigation and settlement. Megan is trained in collaborative law, has been a member of the esteemed Burta Rhoads Raborn Inns of Court, and is a certified family law mediator.

Danna Bader
Danna Bader joined the C.E. Borman & Associates team in early 2024. She was raised locally in College Station, Texas, and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University. She continued her education at South Texas College of Law in Houston where she obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in May of 2023. While attending South Texas College, she participated in various legal clinics where she aided clients in navigating divorce proceedings, and guided clients through probate matters. This hands-on experience further developed her legal skills and served as a steppingstone to becoming the wonderful attorney she is today.

Marilyn Downing
Marilyn Downing is an associate attorney, where she is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families navigating complex legal matters. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, she earned her Juris Doctor with a focus on child welfare, completing the Multidisciplinary Program in Child Abuse and Neglect. Before law school, Marilyn attended Texas Christian University, where she earned her undergraduate degree and developed a strong foundation in advocacy and legal studies. Her passion for family law stems from a deep commitment to protecting children and supporting families through difficult transitions.

Litigation Paralegal
Lori Chiappetta
Involved in all aspects of our family law casework, Lori drafts pleadings and correspondence, schedules mediation, meets with clients, communicates with service providers, and schedules court hearings. Lori is a graduate of the Legal Assistant program at Blinn College and has been an invaluable part of our team since 2014. Lori is knowledgeable about not only the law but also the dynamics of litigation, enabling her to work hand in hand with our attorneys throughout the preparation and presentation of your case.

Kayce Kaderka
Kayce Kaderka is a Discovery Paralegal with over five years of experience in the legal field. With a strong foundation in multiple areas of law, she specializes in discovery processes, ensuring thorough document management, review, and production to support case strategies effectively. A proud graduate of Sam Houston State University, Kayce earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2019 and was recognized for academic excellence on the Dean’s List. Her education, combined with hands-on legal experience, has equipped her with exceptional research, analytical, and case management skills.

Stephen Krahl
As Director of Operations, Stephen is responsible for organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence; training and onboarding; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions. The overarching goal for Stephen is to maintain a culture that helps the firm and its clients thrive. Stephen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and has worked in office administration and executive management for more than 5 years.

JoeAnna Brooks
JoeAnna Brooks serves as the Hand of the Queen, working closely with Channa to ensure her legal responsibilities are fulfilled. She holds an AAS in Legal Assistance from Blinn College and is a certified Mediator and Notary in Texas. Throughout her professional career, JoeAnna dedicated 44 years to Texas A&M University, including 34 years in administrative roles within the Department of Rangeland Ecology and Management.

Finance Manager
Kellie Clifton
Kellie started as the firm’s finance manager in January 2023. She has over 10 years of experience in managing teams and clients, administrative tasks, budgeting, financial duties, managing contracts, and more. Kellie manages cash flow projections, billing, applies client refunds, and other financial-related tasks.

Billing Specialist
Rana Turner
Rana joined the C.E. Borman team in January 2023 as the billing specialist. She has over 25 years of experience with secretarial, administrative, and billing matters. Any questions about account balances, monthly statements, trust deposits, or pending refunds, Rana is the person who can help provide you with answers.

Client Liaison
Daisy Reyes
Daisy joined the firm in January 2023, initially as the receptionist. Since then, she has advanced to the role of Client Liaison. In this capacity, Daisy serves as the client’s primary point of contact, providing them with monthly updates on their cases and addressing any non-legal inquiries they may have.

When you call our law firm, the first person you will reach is Brandie. Friendly and experienced, Brandie is our first point of contact, she manages the front office area and directs all communication within our office by taking messages and sending your call to the appropriate person. She has a wealth of experience when it comes to client communication and office organization.
